Mid-Season Analysis

- Ben Roethlisberger won't come to the stadium to warm the bench anymore.
- ....the Dallas Cowboys will make their first Supreme bowl....how do I know this....the chances of Tony Romo playing another game this year, are slim to none....now without the biggest cancer on the Cowboys roster on the sidelines and leaving GM Armen Kavaldjian no choice but to play Big Ben or trade for another starter, the team should get over the hump that has plagued them the last 3 ½ years....
- in other Cowboys news, it seems that number one selection Ryan Mathews is a bust in year one, but another number one pick has emerged....with Run DMC the Cowboys would have come a lot closer to winning this past weeks game, gaining 196 yards (rush and pass) and 4 TD (run and pass), which would have added 24 points to the boys score and taken away 12 from Denver, meaning a 35 to 35 score, so Denver would have won in OT....but take into account, no Romo and Big Ben in the starting line up and what we have is a Cowboys team that is 7-0 instead of 6-1.....its a lot of what ifs but it sure should make Dallas think about future line ups....
- So it’s been a long time since anyone has heard from the talented Mr. Mel....last we heard, excuse me, saw him, the Tampa Bay Bucs were 2-0, talking about how the division is theirs and now they are 4-3, sitting 3rd in the division, behind last years champs, Oakland and the 10-3 team, as referred to by the Talented Mr. Mel, the Buffalo Bills....I guess losing 3 in a row will do that to someone...
- The Miami Dolphins or as I like to think of them, the Buffalo Bills lite have won 3 games, I am in shock until I realized that the wins were due to the help of former Bills, Brandon Jacobs, Mark Sanchez and Jeremy Maclin....all kidding aside, the Dolphins took a lot of grief at the draft for trading Matt Ryan to the aforementioned Bills, however, Maclin has given the edge to the Dolphins accumulating 458 yards and 6 TD...as I have stated before Buffalo got a player they needed for one week, where Miami got a player they could start for 12 weeks, advantage Miami...
- Oakland may be 5-2 but I could not think of a team in worst shape....almost no running game, with the exception of Jahvid Best due to injuries, Jermichael Finley out for the year and not a lot of chips to trade for help....with not much out there, its quite possible that the Raiders will look to middle tier RB’s such as Thomas Jones or Ronnie Brown to ensure the team has enough fresh bodies to compete on a weekly basis....but a repeat championship looks less and less likely with every passing week...
- What happen to the Minnesota Vikings...last year they looked on the verge of putting it all together and stockpiled picks in this years draft...then they were a no show at the draft, had no pre-season plan, lost Ryan Grant for the year, played Knowshon Moreno for 3 weeks when anyone who checked an injury report or followed any report on him knew he was out and it seems the season has fallen apart...the team is 1-6 and no shot of making the playoffs...if the Vikings show up next year, they still have a window of opportunity to compete for a title but if not then the basement could be a permanent residence...
- So half way through the season...I have learned how to use a paragraph thanks to the Teacher/Commish....still love the dots though, its kind of my thing....we need more players on waivers, way to many injuries in the NFL....but that is a whole other issue...and still think we may need maximum roster caps on positions such as QB and RB, otherwise we would not have a couple of teams with only one starter on their roster...Washington....Denver...or due to injury and bye week, almost Miami....or it could just be poor team management....oh goodie, maybe something we can really expand on at next years draft....preferably while Kevin cooks me another hot dog....later everyone
